Tristan Bland

I’ve known Tristan and his family for several years, and it was very nice to be able to join them in this senior journey. Tristan has always been the kind of kid who can find humor in any situation and he just seems to love life in general. He’s a happy go lucky type of person and is a good friend to others. I’ve always known him to be funny, witty, caring, kind and respectful. His smile and sense of humor can brighten up the worst of days. I love his self discipline, determination and drive to go for what he wants and he makes it happen.

Tristan graduated from Edgewood High School with honors in the class of 2020. He graduated with an academic honors diploma and has received a three year full expense ROTC scholarship. He has also received the Stinesville Alumni scholarship. He held the position of treasurer for the National Honors Society, has been a member of the German club for four years, and German Honors Society for the last two years.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology proudly awaits him in the fall, where he plans to major in Aerospace Mechanical Engineering as well as the Army ROTC program. Tristan is excited and feels very blessed to be continuing his football career with Rose-Hulman. He received the award of 3A All-state, as well as All Region 6. He plans to play in the upcoming All Walbash Valley game.

It’s been neat to see him grow into such a kind and respectful young man, and it was an honor for me to do this with him. Tristan, I wish you the very best with all of your future endeavors. You have so much going for you and I am excited to watch you grow even more and see all of the wonderful things you will accomplish in life. You’re a blessing to so many. I’m proud of you and I know your family is as well! Thank for always being such a nice person and setting a good examples to others. Thank you for sharing this part of your senior year with me!
